This event is hosted by Crowley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.   Date: Monday, January 15, 2024 Time: 11:00am-3:00pm Location:  Martin Luther King Center- 1725 W. SWLA Center for Health Services Dental Team will be visiting Alice Boucher Elementary School on Friday, February 2, 2024! Time: 9:00am-Until Our dental team will be giving an interactive dental presentation to the children in both schools; teaching them the importance of dental hygiene!

In honor of American Heart Month, the first Friday of February is designated for National Wear Red Day. On February 2nd, our nation will wear red to raise awareness for women's heart health. SWLA CHS challenges everyone to participate in National Wear Red Day by simply wearing ANYTHING red. Today, SWLA Center for Health Services is recognizing National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, a day to acknowledge progress in HIV prevention and care among Black/African American people, while recognizing the work still needed. SWLA Center for Health Services Scholarship Committee will be giving a scholarship presentation to the seniors at Crowley High School on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 Time: 11:00am-12:30pm SWLA offers six (6) one-time $1000.00 scholarships in the month of June to assist with college tuition each fall. Applications for the annual scholarships are available online in January of the award year for students who are pursuing higher education at a 4 (four) year University. These scholarships are competitive and support students pursuing careers in healthcare. Scholarship deadlines may vary, but are always in the last week of March of the award year. [...]

SWLA Center for Health Services is excited to attend the Southwest Louisiana Community College Career Fair in Lafayette on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Time: 11:00-2:00 PM Location: Lafayette Campus in Devalcourt Building Auditorium, address is 320 Devalcourt Street Lafayette LA 70506   SWLA CHS will be joining in on this opportunity to recruit top candidates from SLCC's academic and technical programs. Career fairs are an excellent opportunity for SLCC students, alumni, and community members to connect to employers in their career fields. It is also an opportunity for employers to showcase the many employment and internship opportunities they have available.
